Made from recycled halibut fishing rope in Kodiak, Alaska by Robert and Anita Shane. They live year-round at a remote 100-year-old decommissioned cannery on Kodiak island, that can only be accessed by plane or boat.
These rugs are completely handmade and help reduce the amount of used fishing rope thrown in landfills, or that end up abandoned on beaches.
These rugs are mildew resistant, and you can just hose them off to clean them. They are durable and practical and carry the spirit of Alaska within them.
